Comic actor kwadwo nkansah (lilwin) has thrown shades on fellow actor Benson Nana yaw oduro Boateng popularly known as FunnyFace for alledgedly bragging with an award he doesn't deserve.

Speaking in an interview with zionfelix, he lambasted the Ghana movie awards and described the award scheme as a cheat.

I will not rely on awards because people hate the truth in this country - lilwin said

The comic actor furthermore stated that he doesn't understand why funny face will be awarded as Ghana's favourite Actor at 2019 edition of the Ghana movie awards, over the likes of him and other industry key players such as Akrobeto,Kwaku manu, van vicker ..etc, who were all in the same category.

Lilwin and other actors are currently embarking on an iconic movie directed by Frank Gharbin, which he claimed will make it to Oscars where the awards scheme isn't partial.

the artist, the art-ist,cliffsonspeaks,the artist and the painter, the artist and god,god is an artist, mystic, ghanaian poetry, ghanaian poet, poet cliffson adu,

The artist is very close to the temple of God, just on the verge. He may not enter into the temple, he may think ’This is all’, but if he wanted, if he had explored a little bit more, he would have entered into God. And unless the artist takes a step beyond art he remains only half-grown. Unless the poet becomes the mystic he never becomes whole. That is the tragedy of the poet; that is the glory and the agony too. The scientist is perfectly at ease. He is in the world of matter; he knows nothing of the beyond, he has no idea of the beyond. Mysticism is all rubbish to him, all nonsense, absurd. He lives in a very clear-cut, mathematical world: The mystic lives in a very very clear-cut mystery. It is a mystery, but he is absolutely certain about the mystery; there is no problem in his mind. He is perfectly at home with the mystery, the mystery does not create any anxiety. He lives it; he is not there to solve it. He relishes it, he sings it, he dances it. Between the two is the artist – the painter, the poet, the musician, the dancer. He has no home, he is just on the bridge: a part of him belongs to the world of science, matter, and a part of him longs for the beyond, the world of the mystery. He is torn apart. It is not an accident that many artists go mad because this continuously pull them into contradictory directions. Many artists commit suicide, and the reason is simple: life becomes unbearable. The artist can be at ease only if he takes a jump and becomes a mystic, when his poetry is no more just poetry but a divine song. So become a singer of divine songs. All songs can be transformed into divine songs. One just needs a little more daring, one just needs to go into the darkness of the mystery but his mind holds back. The mind says ’Be cautious.’ The mind always hesitates. Even if it is to make a step, it takes every precaution so that one never goes astray, and it is always ready to jump back into the old known territory. That’s why many artists remain only artists and remain miserable. The truly adventurous soul is always ready to listen to the call of the unknown. When the unknown calls, go with it, go with your whole heart and don’t look back. Then singing slowly, let it turn into divine singing. The ordinary dance is no more ordinary, it becomes extraordinary. Then, one starts contacting the infinite, and to be in contact with the infinite is to be in bliss.

Ghanaian Actor, film director and producer, Eddie Nartey who earned a nomination at the Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards, and Ghana movie awards for his supporting role in Frank Rajah's 'Somewhere in Africa' is making the headlines again.

In a recent interview on The Delay Show, he revealed that he invested all his savings at MenzGold Ghana Limited which came to an abrupt end after the demise of the CEO Nana Appiah Mensah known in the industry circles as Nam1.

Many customers lost their means of livelihood after investing huge sums into MenzGold but despite Nana appiah mensah's unability to provide these locked up funds, Eddie Nartey said he is indifferent about whether or not MenzGold will bounce back.

“Yes, my money is at Menzgold, all my savings. But I am a soldier, I’ll survive…
I am indifferent about whether or not Menzgold will bounce back. If it does and I get my money back halleluiah, if it doesn’t I survive,”, he told Delay.

During the interview,Eddie Nartey said Zylofon's collapse was and is still a shock to him because he was hopeful of the future of the arts through Zylofon.

“I went to Zylofon with a lot of enthusiasm and passion because just as the entertainment industry in Nigeria and South Africa, I thought Zylofon was going to give us the platform to reach that standard in terms of film making and the entertainment we all crave for,” he stated.

Eddie Nartey was the Artiste and Repertoire for the Arts club, and Manager for the actors signed under Zylofone Media, which is a "sister" company to MenzGold.

A Trip To Nzulenzo (Village on Water)

Nzulenzu village is located near Beyin Village.
Its in the jomoro District of Ghana and one of the beautiful and attractive places to be anytime when you are in the western region of Ghana.
The people there are mostly Fishermen, Farmers and Artisans.

In the year 2000 it was nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is a major tourist attraction area.
Its quite sad that despite how interesting this place is , not every Ghanian has heard of it or even travelled to experience life on water in this wonderful village.

Thanks to Bumbawoodfilms Ghana I got the opportunity to believe in possibilities.
Aside Blogging, am a full time Actor registered under this noble production and its such a priveledge to be part of the amazing cast of ThinkBack movie, which was shot right here in Ghana at Nzulenzu.

Gideon Duah (left) with other amazing Actors on set

In other to go to the village you need to walk on a wooden pathway from Benin to the tandane lake where there is a station for commercial canoes and speedboats.

wooden Pathway to Tandane Lake

The main means of transportation in this Village is by using canoes and Speed Boats.
Since it was my first time on these speedboats or canoes, all hell broke lose for me since every movement of the speedboats/canoes felt like we have arrived at our final destination under the water and death for me as a young guy with no swimming skills.

Since our main motive there was based on Filmmaking, we experienced life living in this village since we were accomodated in the village.

My first night sleeping experience was terrible tho, I wasn't courageous enough, I feared every minute of my life was on a game of chess.  Maybe I might wakeup in the bottom of the ocean not knowing what happened despite the fact that people in this village have been living there for soo many years. Such a lovely experience.

Just like the speedboats it became normal for me and I enjoyed every night afterwards  and the most amazing discovery about this village is that they weren't cut of from the rest of Ghana.
It sounds funny but the main logic is despite the fact that they are on water they are not cut off from the rest of the towns in Ghana or villages which have Electricity.

How is that possible?

Since Nzulenzu is a village on stilts then its possible that electricity has also been transfered to this village on stilts.

The wooden structures according to these people are changed every 5 years to prevent decaying.
In other to reach this village you need to take a canoe or speedboat from Beyin through the forest land about a hour long or 5km to the village.

The forest land or wet swampy land is a home to various animals such as Monkeys and exotic birds.

If you love bird watching and Monkeys then the Forest land is a great place for you.

The only church  I saw in this village  is a Presbyterian church.
There is a school in the village also and one of the most amazing things I discovered at Nzulenzu is their public toilet.

Why a Public Toilet for that matter?
Ew it sounds disgusting said by one friend when I told him about Public toilet on Nzulenzu compared to Public Toilet even in some  Towns  and villages in Ghana which are on land.

Gideon Duah ( Nzulenzu Public Toilet)

The public toilet is one of the attractive  areas most people take images at Nzulenzu.
I don't know why but despite how weird that may sound its indeed a great area of the Nzulenzu Village and very treated since its a village been visited daily by tourists around the world.

After our filmmaking was complete, we had to leave this wonderful place back to Accra, the capital of Ghana, where most of us departed to our various homes.
Anyway our journey couldn't have been complete without lovely crafts from Artisans such as the "Welcome To Nzulenzo" Wooden Canoe Craft.

What I loved about Nzulenzu, was the environment and climate and also the hospitality of these Nzema people.

If you want a place to tour the next time you are in Africa, Nzulenzu Ghana is the right place to be.

You can also checkout Thinkback movie directed by Bumba Ibrahim, CEO of Bumbawoodfilms  and have a view for yourself and enjoy this great African movie with great culture with a great advice for all African leaders

Kem Senou Pavel Daryl (21)

Kem Senou Pavel Daryl is a 21 year old cameroonian student studying at Yangtze University and living in the Chinese city of jingzhou.

When he first contracted the coronavirus, he feared for his life.
He was suffering from a fever,a dry cough and flu like symptoms.

"When I was going to the hospital for the first time I was thinking about my death and how I thought it was going to happen," he said.

Despite the amid aid given by countries to it's citizens living in China, Kem Senou Pavel Daryl wasn't ready to go back to Cameroon.

According to him, he didn't want his people to contract the deadly virus.
The name Coronavirus comes from the Latin word Corona which means crown or halo.
The virus became publicly called Coronavirus because when under an electron microscope, the image of the virus looks like a solar Corona.

Coronaviruses according to World health organization is a family of viruses that causes illness which ranges from the common cold to severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV)

After been under a 14 day quarantine in his University dormitory, he was sent to the Chinese hospital where he was under a 13 days isolation.
He was treated with Antibiotics and drugs typically used to treat Hiv patients.

Kem, started showing signs of recovery after two weeks.
A CT Scan was conducted which showed no trace of the illness, making Kem Senou Pavel Daryl the first African to be infected with the deadly virus and the first to recover.

The Chinese state covered Kem's medical bills due to the friendship between China and African countries.

Upon his release from the hospital, Kem has no interest in going back to Cameroon and wants to focus on studying.

"I don't want to go home before finishing studying. I think there is no need to return home because all hospital fees were taken care of by the Chinese government," says Kem Senou

Anyway the epidemic outbreak continues after Kem's release from the hospital as many countries have started evacuating citizens from the country.

Ghana has reportedly sent financial assistance to it's citizens and is also  considering evacuation just like Kenya.
Kem Senou Pavel Daryl, still has no plans to return to Cameroon."
It would be a bad and dangerous idea. The biggest fear I had from the virus was psychological and emotional. Going back home is not an option now." - he said.
China is currently Africa's largest trading partner and the ties between the two have blossomed in recent years.
