The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Akuffo Addo has released $100 million in preparedness against Coronavirus Covid-19.

According to the president, this budget will expand infrastructure, purchase materials and equipment and aid in public education.
He also urged all nationals in the country to put a stop to foreign travels for now unless it’s critical until the virus has been successfully battled with.
President Akuffo Addo is reported to have placed a temporary ban on public officials from foreign travels earlier on.
Neighbouring countries such as Burkina Faso, Togo and Benin have recorded cases of the virus.
This has raised Ghana’s preparedness and response plan to Coronavirus Covid-19.
The president at the 63rd Independence Anniversary also told Ghanaians to avoid shaking hands and cover their mouth when coughing.
The Ghana Health Ministry already has set up a 100 bed capacity facility in a remote area to quarantine suspected cases plus some 5000 PPE kits.
