Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay via Twitter, has sent a message to his Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo, to save the creative arts industry.
The Award-winning artist, in her message to the president of the Republic of Ghana, emphasized that Ghanaian celebrities are losing jobs to Nigerian counterparts after FDA banned them from promoting Alcoholic beverages.
It is recalled that The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), banned celebrities or popular persons in Ghana from publicly endorsing alcohol brands, to ensure young people or teenagers who are fans of these celebrities, do not engage in alcoholism.
This ban, however attracted a lot of responses from Ghanaian celebrities, who believed otherwise.
Now that there is a rumor going on that, Gaming commissions of Ghana will also ban celebrities from running betting advertisements for the same reason, queen shay inquires in her message to the president, how celebrities will be able to survive in this pandemic.

Anyway, the Rufftown Records CEO, Bullet as popularly known, has also threatened to relocate his record label to Nigeria, if the government doesn’t do anything to these laws which are affecting the creative arts industry.
